You all might remember the Coconino Forest Boundary dispute. Just an FYI that the sale of "encroached upon" land to the folks who thought they owned the land was just approved by the president's signing of H.R. 862 on 5/24/14.

I wonder what the price of the land was in comparison to original purchase price of the property they built their homes on.

Every property I know that the government agreed to sell was at a very inflated price, especially land that was in the middle of nowhere.

I am the surveyor who brought this to light in 1995, although the BLM had observed it in the 1960's. The price discussed at that time was extremely reasonable. Since that time there has been almost 100% turnover in the F.S. here, so we will need to wait and see...
