When looking though some old items in the office, someone had sat for the OR PLS, and they had some various study materials, including the fence law. If I remember correctly, if the your neighbor's fence completed an enclosure you could be made to pay, or if you later enclosed your property and the neighbor's (then existing) fence was part of the enclosure, you could be made to pay.?ÿ

I remember if being pretty complex.
