whether my brain is asking the dot/dirt question or not, it is best practice to clean the lens with proper solution before placing it on your eyeball and remove all doubt.

regarding the L R marking issue, I keep a small thin profile lens case in my pocket all the time. ?ÿIn the situations when I need to pop out a lens or two, I try to do one at a time and put them away in the case immediately, thereby avoiding two out at the same time. ?ÿThis has worked well for me these past ten plus years?ÿ

Most suppliers will place a small black dot on the right lens

My lenses are slightly different colors,?ÿ blue = left, a slight greenish tint to blue =?ÿ right.
