I know, I know...it's SOOO last decade! Does anyone have a winxp driver for this plotter?
It works well with C&G DOS, but gets wadded up when printing from autocad 2004 running on winxp. The one plot that did come off was mirrored and reduced, using the default winxp drivers.
I found an application called Winline that worked but @ $199?, I don't think so.
Expensive, but will work with about any system including Win 7 and with a long list of printers & plotters. I didn't want to, but in order to get my 450C to work with Win 7, I had to put out the money. You can download a trial version to see if it will work before making a purchase.
Try upgrading to what we use now. Carlson is the best software.
Wow! I gave one of those away about 10 years ago. I forgot what drivers I used to get it to work with XP, but I did. Will this work?
That was an expensive and very good plotter when it came out. Do they still make pens for that thing?
I'm surprised to see Dos mentioned. That went out 15 years ago(for the die hard.) 20 for the rest of us.
Ah.... The good old days when you sent a drawing to plot and then waited 45 minutes for it to finish.... Sucked if a pen went dry.
Back in my college days it was even better. Submit a drawing for plot and pick it up in a different building the next day....
Thanks for the link, but the output from the dos machine is fine. The winxp side is borked.

Just trying to make do with what I have! I may have to hijack the old 250C from the main office. Good thing we don't throw anything out. Cutting edge...that's how I roll!

Are your settings matching between plotter and computer? (baud rate, parity, etc.)
I can't remember what I used. Seems to me it was some HP/GL-2 language driver that made it work properly.

I have my Dos machine networked to my XP laptop and can copy files from the Dos prompt to a flash drive. Dos isn't dead yet.
