to some rather unstable monuments you've surveyed in the past? This is one on an 18 ac Boundary I did a couple of years ago. I never reset the monument because I had to sue to get paid. I'm thinking (since he lost the case) I may not be as welcomed on the site as I was before. This was found in the tree rootmat after a really bad nor'easter.
The calculated position fell the the hole where the tree once stood.
(actually...this is a pretty boring post...but was made to see if anyone else would like to comment of survey matters rather than...politics....guess it didn't work....might be the fact this is Friday after work, who knows..;-) )
Interesting. You sure have a weird way of storing your uncut lumber. Probably shouldn't store so much wood next to a property corner. You'd get a better picture if it was all in one pile.
Ok, I've just been informed that those are trees. Sorry.
I came across one like that about 8yrs ago. Was in a beautiful grown over place like that at the edge of a spring filled bottom that was home to many beaver. I reset it using my tape and plumb bob from the physical evidence of uprooted tree.
