Virginia

> The problem is in rural, large lot subdivisions. If a corner monument is missing, how do you double proportion without crossing a neighbor? Did the lobbyist use that example? I believe this is probably the most important issue that needs attention in Virginia, at least as far a surveying is concerned.

I have no idea what the lobbyist did or didn't do, as the lobbyist usually had quit by the time the VAS started asking questions. I never got high enough into the governing structure to find out. I don't think a surveyor acted as the lobbyist. As far as I know, the issue is pretty much dead. The VAS seems to be focusing on regulatory things these days. I'm not sure where the focus is at. That's not me bad mouthing the VAS, I just simply do not know. Once you get out of Chapter issues, anything is bound to happen. The issues of the coal fields are different than the issues of Alexandria and the Eastern Shore and the Chesapeake Bay watershed (As I'm sure you are well aware). I'm just a simple soloist hoping to stay busy.

*Note, I am not currently a member of the VAS, but have been in the past.
