I'm trying to delete some project folders created by Carlson but I get the Item not found message. Any suggestions?

Many times a folder name will be somewhere in the program's cache and the actual file is not on your destination disk and/or the file there contains no data and you will get that message.
Do a search on that drive for the file name and check your results.
