Client wants a survey of inside of lift core. How?

I work in high rise construction and part of the job is to survey the lift core and give an asbuilt. Pretty simple; setup and DR the core with 2 faces after the jump, and send them a asbuilt of how many mm from design they need to adjust. Now i have formworkers who are asking for a survey of inside the lift core, and are saying theyve definitely had it done before. Sounds like more formworkers who don't know how to use a tape measure to me ???? The only possible methods i can think of is: setup at base of lift and DR every wall at every level (poor accuracy, worse as the angle gets even steeper) setup at base of the lift, and with a long pole press a prism against the wall, and offset the distance in the office (not sure how youd get access for this?) setup at each level and shoot through the doorway picking up the walls visible, and shooting in the closest face by pressing something flat against the internal wall, such as a packer fixing a laser to the bottom over a known point and measuring with a tape measure from laser dot to wall (again, not sure how id go with access, and that laser will be pretty dull by level 30 If anyone has had any experience with this id love to know! Personally i think im about ready to tell them to take a hike. If they've made all their form 250 wide, then my asbuilt can just be offset by 250. I can guarantee that a tape measure will have more accuracy than some of these other methods

@sireath There are laser designed specifically high rise control. I've done inside core layout on my last 3 highrises with them.

You have to get solid, tight control inside the core right after the core slab is pored, prior to 1st wall lift.
