Might be an old thread somewhere, but since so much is based upon the "chaining" of first downs in professional and college football games, shouldn't professional surveyors be doing that task? Just wondering.

Funny you should mention that. There was a "funny" incident in Montreal last week with the semi-final of the north american soccer league set to go with 60k screaming fans when the referee paced off the penalty zones and found them small. They got a crew out there re-measuring and repainting them and masking the originals on an astroturf surface. What a mess!

Actually, no. But whatever got loose in my younger years was beaten back into submission by the Nuns at parochial prison. 😉
Versal Warthon was a prolific poster on the old board. He passed away a few years ago.
I still miss him....
