Does anyone know if Carlson Survey has a routine to build a feature code file to be used in a Ranger DC running Survey Pro? The file that Pro uses is an .fea.

I know TDS/DXM has but we are looking to upgrade our field software and need to be able to use feature codes. Foresight/DXM is dated and a bit difficult to use.

Thanks.

Find Shawn Billings on here and email him. I think he has this locked up. At least, if I had your question, that would be who I would call.

check with dotsoft.com
He has written a bunch a various converters. See if he doesn't have one to do that. If not, contact him. He says he's always looking for something else to do conversions on.

Carlson can import a variety of Code table formats but only exports the Carlson SurvCE *.FCL file format. If you'd be willing to send me a sample *.FEA file, I'll see what I can do. Otherwise, you could try:

Carlson Survey -- Survey menu -- Draw Field to Finish -- Report Codes/Points -- Use Report Formatter and see if you can parse the appropriate info into something that you can import into the "other stuff." 🙂
