It has been a while, since I last tried to do this. How do I update?ÿ the elevations in my project from an assumed elevation to a datum I have chosen? I know this can be done in xls but I would rather update the coordinate data base from within the Carlson software. thanks for your help

Under the points pull down....adjust points...Translate. Enter the same point number twice then adjust the z value in the 2nd version of the point. The point number will disappear in the dialog for that entry, but the X and Y will stay the same. Make sure the process elevation check box is check.

Another approach is Points > Point Utilities > Elevations for Points

in the dialog box pick the Differential option; then enter either a range of points, a point group, or Screen Pick; then enter your elevation shift in the box; hit OK

With either method, none of your 3d polylines or text labels with elevations will update (if you have any) to the new elevations.?ÿ If you have not done any finish drafting, just run Field-to-Finish.?ÿ If you have finish drafting edits you don't want to lose, you will have to shift your 3d polylines by the same elevation shift using the basic Move command.?ÿ I use a base point of 0,0,0 and move the lines to point 0,0,ElevationShift.?ÿ You will also have to update your surface model, if you have one, and re-draw the contours.
