Hello All,
What are your thoughts on the best used Robotic Total Station? I have a budget of around 6-10 grand and I see there are a bunch listed on Ebay. I am not familiar with all the model codes and am having trouble deciphering the years and generations between a Sokkia SX105T, IX 1003, IX-505, SRx3X and their Topcon equivalents.
Any thoughts?!

I wonder why you are restricting yourself to Sokkia and Topcon. Which are just different ways to spell the same thing.
In the last 4 years I've used Topcon (PS103A, GT503 both with Magnet), Trimble (S5, with a TSC7 and Access), and Leica (TS16 with CS20 and Captivate). Before that I had Trimble 5603s for many years, a Leica TS15 with Viva for awhile, and another Topcon PS103A with Survey Pro. Choosing between Trimble and Leica would be tough. Topcon would be my distant last choice.
There are probably lots of used equipment dealers around the country. One I know about is 4k Equipment in Vancouver, WA. I recently traded them the 2 Topcons mentioned above for a second TS16. The deal went smoothly, and we have been happy with the product received. They have a website and sell all brands. Google them and check out what they have.
There is a Trimble S7 advertised here on this site. Under 10k has a lot of accessories.
