Got a call from a potential client. He wants to construct a BREWPUB!...he got my attention REALLY FAST!
I had one years ago that I thought was going to be interesting, but it turned out to be a WAREHOUSE... 😉
It's a lot more fun to work at a pub that's already built...;-)
A couple of years ago I did a job for an arky-teck that involved some of the old buildings down by campus here in Norman in an area called "Campus Corner". An entire square block of buildings had been hodge-podged together into a fantastic labyrinth of bars and restaurants. All the legal descriptions followed common walls with extremely irregular shapes. The only way to hash things out was to measure everything...inside and out.
We would up using a reflectorless TS to shoot most of the interiors of these buildings. Our favorite was "Joe's Taverna". It WAS August (hot) and Joe's AC sure felt good.....Probably the only time in my career I got to sit at a bar stool with the gun set up, taking shots with an ice cold mug of beer sitting next to my fieldbook. It was a hoot.
Bittersweet though. Joe's got torn down and it's a yuppy three story apartment building now...:-(
That Sucks! :pinch:
