It's been a LONG time since I had to replace one of those batteries in an HP48 TDS one meg card.
Where on earth do I find one of those tiny little batteries?

What is the cell number or model is it? I betchya could find it on Amazon. I've never had to replace the battery on my TDS 512 card. Still going after 13 years.

I bought some several years ago at Walmart and it was just a typical Eveready type battery. If I remember correctly, it was about the size of a nickel and thin as a wafer.

I use Duracell 2016 coin cell batteries in mine, and I get them at Wal-Mart.

Energizer 2016 came in my storage card, still there.

I upgraded to 1mb and 2mb cards that do not have a battery.

I am surprised that Wally-World even carries those batteries. Must be a Super Center...

The batteries for the RAM cards are Lithium Ion CR-2016 and are sold at many drugstores in addition to the places mentioned above.

A little note: if you care about the data that may still be on the card, change the battery with it in the calculator and with the calculator on.

Another little note: upon examination, you'll be tempted to believe the little switch on the top edge of the card is a release for the battery clip. It has nothing to do with the battery at all. It is the "Write-protect" switch for the card. Move it and you cannot save any new data to the card.
