APPS showing "boundary"

Got two calls and jobs this week caused by phone APPS.?ÿ Both are cases where a new adjacent landowner used and trusted a APP to locate the boundary.?ÿ Then they brought in the bulldozer and went to work along the APP line.?ÿ On one there where t-posts/rebar at the corners.?ÿ The APP user said they where just for no trespassing signs, the APP is right and the T-post are wrong.?ÿ OK, some of these APPs are good for knowing who owns what, where you can hunt and such, but no where near good enough to start surveying boundaries (in my opinion for sure).

OK, this is getting out of control from my view.?ÿ I haven't got the work done yet so don't really know how it will come out.?ÿ The one where the APP blew away the corners in the ground probably won't come out in favor of the APP.

I'm assuming this APP problem is spreading everywhere.?ÿ The GIS map from the county (or wherever) caused problems, These APPs on phones are taking it exponential.?ÿ Why pay a surveyor when for $5 a month you get every boundary in the country??ÿ Actually these are bringing me work but I still don't like it.?ÿ Yeah if the APP had correct corner coordinates and the GPS device used was survey grade we'd be there.?ÿ Nobody wants to pay for that up front so they are going to pay on the other side of using these free (almost) APPS.

Somebody needs to sue these APP people for representing boundaries. At minimum the boundary line needs to disappear when they zoom in too close so they can't be used to "see" where the boundary "exactly" is (BUT REALLY ISN'T).
