Dang, I been living in the wrong house for years too. I's supposed to be in a 5 bedroom mini mansion with hot and cold running servants, but I'm not. The part that strikes me is that 10 of the flats are occupied wrong, but not the other 5?? And it's the fault of the buyer?? Almost sounds like a get rich scheme I heard of once called title insurance...

That example is from Carlisle in England - don't think they have Title Insurance there - it seems to be only a US thing - maybe you should introduce it....

[SARCASM]That would probably go a ways to explaining all the weird phone calls and mail he's been getting for five years.[/SARCASM]

That's worse than the story a friend of mine told me yesterday. Apparently when his birth certificate was being created his first name was typed in as being Billie. Then someone used a pen to create a slanting line to make it look like Billy. He has always gone by Billy. But some documents list him as Billy and others as Billie. He traveled internationally with a visa naming him as Billy with no problem. When he returned after many years to his old home town he had to get license plates for his car. They wouldn't issue them to him as Billy because whatever record they had checked listed him as Billie. Ran into the same thing when he went to register to vote, despite having voted in another state for about 40 years as Billy. He ended up making a special trip to the state capital to walk his way through a series of government offices until he finally had everyone agreeing that he was Billy, not Billie. Billy is 72.

Assuming New Zealand has a Torrens system like Australia, they can tell you exactly how much you own, but I guess not where you own it. (My bad I missed the UK reference).

Someone should verify the original Condo Plan as it is possible that the unit numbers are in fact different from the address numbers.
