Oktoberfest is this weekend at the Daylodge. you should check out Nervous Rex (one of Alaska's best live bands).
I am in Shemya till 10/10.
If you are still there next week, I would like to buy you a beer at the Aurora Bar or Chair 5.
Cheers,
Jeremy

Look familiar??

> The black strip on the front edge of the wing, tail markings and accessories on the engines look slightly different. But it could of been repainted.

I don't think they are the same plane, probably sister planes.

Look familiar??

here's your goose Andy...

in a different livery...N641, Spirit of Alitak, It started off as U.S. Navy surplus... Webber airlines of Ketchikan ended up with it ...but went bust after they crashed another Goose into the ocean killing 12 people aboard....it then ended up with Air Transport services of Kodiak which Pen Air acquired in 1985...and used it solely for Kodiak service in the nineties then sold it to some one who based it out of Seattle for a number of years but it is now owned by an individual in North Carolina.

Thanks Daryl, for sharing.

I have looked through them about 5 times now, and watched the vid 4 times. Well, you see, the kids wanted to see it too!

That's crazy Daryl, we just got back from Akun Island this Thursday. We we're working on photo control for the new airport aeronautical survey. We had an opportunity to take a quick ride on the Hover Craft over to the east end of Akutan Island. I must be the only person on the planet to go to the island of Akutan but never get to the village.

Great pictures, I wish mine turned out that good.

Take care, maybe someday we'll run into each other.
