Has anyone tried one of these:

http://www.gomadic.com/trimble-tsc2-2in1-auto-home-charger.html

I'm looking for a 12v charger for the TSC2 to keep in the truck for those days that I thought I still had a charge. I was considering making a cable from USB to a size N and plugging it into one of them USB cigarette lighter adapters. It would be my luck I would burn something up. The Trimble charger is $150.

What are you using?

James

I use the Trimble charger and a DC inverter. Only way I could convince myself I would not burn the truck down.
I'm sure google has a china option for a DC version...but then we are back to the truck burning down...

We use the regular charger and an inverter in the truck, no sense having another charger to lose!

we just use a converter in the truck ($30 radio shack), but don't use this all the time it will not fully charge your batteries. Plug them into the wall when you get back to the office...

I have an inverter in the truck and I take the charger with me when I think I am gonna need it. I'm looking for a backup plan for those days that I didn't think I was gonna need the charger, like last Friday. Something that will just stay in the truck.

Why dont you just buy the Original Trimble 12V vehicle Charger for TSC2? Tested and safe.

I checked in Trimble Store and still available, here is the Part No. P/N 53707-10-HH
