I am having trouble with Carlson GIS 2017 running inside of Intellicad crashing when I try to create GIS polylines by enclosed text. The polylines were created using the draw boundary polyline command in Carlson Survey 2016 with embedded AutoCAD. I am starting to think the issue is Intellicad.

The drawing has approximately 240 lots in it.

One other issue I am having is I can create smaller numbers of GIS polylines by using the enclosed text command. I can then run the GIS inspector in it, and everything looks fine. I seem to loose these links when I execute the command again to select the next batch/block of lots, the links appear to be lost for the first block of lots/parcels.

Does anyone know if the full suite of GOS commands will run inside of Carlson Survey 2016 with embedded AutoCAD?

I have uploaded the drawing file below. I could not upload the database file of the gis file.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It is not possible for the full suite of the Carlson GIS commands to run inside/with Carlson Survey 2016 with embedded AutoCAD. However, with the current 160915 build of Carlson 2017, I was able to successfully process the 255 parcel ID into GIS links. The following suggestion might seem silly but you might evaluate if you have the latest video card driver for your version of Windows. Otherwise, you might try contacting the Carlson Technical Support Group at 606-564-5028 to see if they have any other ideas/suggestions.

Ladd,

Thank you for the reply. I wish it was possible to have an embedded AutoCad version. The drawings created have that annoying warning that the drawing was not created with a registered AutoCAD product.

Carlson Tech support replied last night, and after some back and forth, this morning, Romica was able to go through my *.mdb file, and clean up some temporary data that was causing issues. When I associated the clean database, it went through without issue.

Does the Carlson User's Conference have classes specifically on the Survey and GIS products where you can sit and work through data sets with your laptop to get a feel for how to actually process the data?

I still have dozens of questions, and will hopefully be able to produce the deliverable that the client wants with the Carlson software, so I can purchase this.

Thanks,
Jimmy

I'm not 100% sure what's in store for the upcoming http://www.carlsonsw.com/community/user-conference/&apos ;">Carlson User Conference but in past conferences, we've offered a "CAD lab" type of forum where people can bring in their own data and/or consult with various Carlson support and/or programming team members. I hope this information helps.
