Do any of you Access guru's know which file it hides the target definitions in?

I've got an ongoing issue with 2017.00 on a Trimble Yuma 2 tablet where out of the blue it will no longer scroll in any of the windows where the points are listed. Scroll works fine in Windows and all other Access windows with vertical scroll capability. Once this happens, only un-installing Access, deleting the left-over Trimble directories, and then re-installing Access will fix the issue.

I've learned to grab the config.cfg, all of the .sty files, so I don't have to start from scratch, but I wish I could figure out which file the prisms are stored in.

I'm guessing you mean the Poins Manager screen. Does the same thing happen in the Review Job menu ?

Stephen - I highly recommend that you check which operating system you have in that tablet and consider updating it if it's old. Check with your dealer; there are three versions of Windows 7 that I know of for the Yuma 2 and if you have the oldest it wouldn't surprise me if some things don't work right.

I've had to reinstall the O/S on a couple of them to clear up bugs etc., one of them because the Party Chief who had it installed all kinds of crap on it. You can do that yourself if you're willing to take it on.

It's actually the list points drop-down that is used in a bunch of places. It shows up in cogo, point staking, and pretty much anywhere you would want to access a list of points to fill a field.

@Lee D - I've run into this a few times since March when I updated to 2017.00 on the Yuma 2. The first time I uninstalled and reinstalled Access but that didn't fix the issue. Then I uninstalled Access and deleted the System Files folder found in the Trimble Data folder and reinstalled Access. This fixed the issue for awhile but then it came back.

I suspected that all of the Windows updates were a possible source of trouble so I had my local tech reinstall the O/S and Access in late July. After the reinstall, I didn't let Windows download or install any updates and it still blew up a couple of days ago. In my efforts to uninstall/reinstall Access this time, I must've FUBAR'ed the driver for the Cirronet radio. I got to a job site and I could scroll through points all day but I couldn't get the DC and S6 to talk no matter what I tried.

I would assume that my tech used the latest version in July, but he might've grabbed whatever was handy on his laptop. This time he was out of town so I downloaded the latest O/S for the Yuma 2 and reinstalled everything myself. We'll see how long it lasts.

As I said in the OP, I've learned to grab the config.cfg file and the .sty files, but I'd like to know where it hides the list of targets and things like the preferred order to shoot sets, the measuring point for the HI (bottom notch or true height), etc.

I took a look at it and wasn't able to figure that out either. I don't have time right now but you could go in and change something and then sort all the files in the User and System Files folders by date and time and see which one changed.

Edit - after some quick testing it appears that it may be the config.cfg file in your user folder. It's binary so I can't tell for sure.

Many of the settings are in the config.cfg file, but the targets seem to be elsewhere. I appreciate you taking the time to look at it. My tech thinks that it is a bug in 2017.00 so I'll probably load 2017.01 that Trimble just released in the last week or so and see if that takes care of the issue. If Access isn't blowing up, I won't care where the settings are stored. 😎
