How do I get TGO back to where the mouse behaves like it does in CAD?

I used to be able to just pan and zoom with the scroll wheel. To zoom I now have to scroll, which shows up in the lower left view window and then left click to make the action happen. Same thing with panning. I have to hold down the scroll, stop, then left click to make it actually happen.

I know it has to be a setting because it didn't do this before.:-@

If you are using two monitors it will only pan and zoom with the wheel while displayed using the primary screen. At least that's how mine works; it can get irritating.

Wheel zooming works on both my monitors. Maybe it's a video card thing.

I have not used TGO in a long time. I looked up the user guide and I don't see any settings that would cause your problem. It might be worth giving your mouse driver and settings a look. Maybe an update by your OS or mouse software is to blame.

Of course re-reading my post I forgot to mention that. We updated to Windows 7 +o( about 3 weeks ago. I seem to remember our Trimble rep telling us that TGO might not work with the new OS.

I did the same, now using Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I followed the TGO installation instructions Scott Partridge posted on the old board, and it's working fine.

I don't know. I have TGO on Windows 7 and the zoom works like a champ.

Check your initial mouse settings in Windows then if it's a recent upgrade.

Well that strange as sh**.

I went into my Control Panel to check the mouse settings. Why would I do that, I never have to fix my mouse settings even with an OS upgrade.

I'm looking around and see nothing different. I usually run at or near the default settings. While I'm in there, I decide to turn off the pointer shadow, I don't care for it. I then go reset my display. I hadn't put up a wall paper since the OS upgrade so I add a great picture from a recent rafting trip in Hells Canyon.

I change nothing else in my Control Panel.

Now my zooming and panning is back to normal in TGO. So I go back to the CP and turn the mouse shadow back on and TGO still works.

What the hell.....?

Kris you Ba***rd.;-) If nothing more, you made me go into my computer and shake it around a bit to let it know who's boss.:good:

Rob

You just can't take sh** off of a computer. You have to be the alpha male in the group. 🙂

Glad you're back up and running now. 🙂
