How do I constrain points in TBC or SPSO? Or How do I ctegorize a point as a control?

Thank You Kevin but here is what I need.

Notice how the box is blank? I want to assign 2 points as controls (fixed). I'm hoping that this didn't need to be done in the collector.

Hmmm...

You shouldn't have had to run an adjustment in the DC. If that is done it can always be cleared in the office.

Did you import an ASCII file in PNEZD format?

That may be the problem if that is the source of your data. To the best of my knowledge TBC won't adjust coordinates only. You will need some form of observation file.

If that is the case, try importing the data as a .dc file instead. DC files are easier to review and edit HI/HR issues than .job files.

No it's actually a raw data file. The observations are in there.
I just want to assign the fixed points. I usually use MOVE3 or Starnet but I'm trying to get as much exported from the DC as possible in hopes of streamlining the workflow. Not quite sure this is the route yet.

Ralph,

For whatever reason, I can't open Kevin's link, so in case he posted something different, here's a quick outline of how I do it:

First, in the project explorer, expand the point. If there is a Grid (or Local, or Global, whatever you want fixed) point there, right-click on it and select Properties. In the Properties pane, you can change the point quality to whatever you want by clicking the icons to the right of the N/E/Elev.

If there is no coordinate record, you can select the point itself, and in the Properties pane you can select the "Add Coordinate" icon at the top.

Hope that helps.

Thank You Alan, next question: How do I turn on curvature correction in this program?

In Project Explorer, right-click on the project name, select Project Settings, then select the main Computations folder.

I think.

Thank You Alan, it's not in there.
Here's the error I get:

A network adjustment cannot be performed because earth curvature correction has been turned off for terrestrial data. Network adjustment requires curvature correction be turned on ("Yes").

Gotchya.

In Project Explorer, expand the imported files, expand the file w/ the terrestrial observations, select all the setup (or is it sessions...) records, and you can fix them in the properties pane all at one shot.

Thanks to both you, it works. But I've had enough. I'm importing this to Move3.

Cheers
