I'm going to Trimble Business Center (TBC) for my total software package including drafting. I'm nearing completing my first survey plat, simple easement for a pipeline across state lands.
Here is my biggest issue: I can't find a way to copy and paste into the multi line text box. I can cut and paste into the single line CAD text box but NOT the multi line text box. So descriptions, narratives and large notes can't be worked up in a word processor and then copy and pasted into the drawing. This is a big negative for me. To put a description in the drawing I had to use multiple single text boxes and that really sucks.
Can someone clue me in here on how to copy and paste text into the multi line text box? The clipboard paste just doesn't work there.

Have you tried shift insert? It works in feature codes.

If it says that in the HELP I missed it. You have restored my faith in TBC and saved me in getting my work done.
Thanks again!
This website can be a lifesaver.

It probably doesn't say anything about it in the help, that's just basic windows clipboard controls.

I've always just used the mouse buttons, maybe there is some TBC setup I need to change. Need to bone up on the Windows clipboard controls I suppose.
Thanks again!!!

No problem. It really does annoy me sometimes, all the inconsistencies in TBC. You really should be able to do all those things with the mouse buttons.

Yeah, I can see know, the keyboard controls work in the multi line text box. The right click mouse does nothing in there. You can't access the clipboard with the mouse. After a couple decades of using right click to use the clip board I sort of forgot about keyboard controls. Anyway I'm just glad to be working again. I waited 15 years for Trimble to finally convert TerraModel into TBC. Looks like they are about there! First complete drawing going out this week. TBC all the way with the help of text processers. No other CAD or surveying software, just one.
Thanks again for some of your time to help me out.
