One of my crew was having trouble seeing the screen on the TDS Recon with Survey Pro, so, I purchased a Ranger3 with Survey Pro.?ÿ When I export the Job/RAW file and import it into Carlson Survey OEM 2020, the raw file is missing data.?ÿ Some of the coordinate points are not in the correct location.?ÿ The traverse does not close by many feet.?ÿ I can't locate the problem in the raw file because data is missing.?ÿ We occupy #51 (5000,5000) and backsight #50 with an azimuth of 180?ø.?ÿ The raw file shows OC #51, BS #0 with 180?ø Az with no distance to the BS.
The next reference to #51 is contains different coordinates.?ÿ See attached.?ÿ I have removed and reinstalled Survey Pro and Carlson Survey.?ÿ I have checked all the settings, but I can't figure this one out.
I spent hours last night going through the raw file (in the data collector), point by point, to replicate the survey.?ÿ The data in the data collector is correct.?ÿ The file appears to corrupt when transferring it into Carlson Survey.?ÿ
?ÿ
I do not have this problem with the Recon,?ÿ
Any ideas?
?ÿ
Open the raw file in notepad.?ÿ Does it look correct there?
Unless there's a bug in CS 2020, I'm thinking that it's in the export process from the DC.?ÿ Are you exporting a raw or some other file, and then converting to a rw5?
@jph?ÿ
I am exporting a .JOB/.RAW file and importing the .RAW file into Carlson Survey OEM 2020
@jph The raw file is not correct when opened in Notepad,?ÿ
Maybe transfer the job file over to the Recon and try exporting from that controller since it seems to work right and then maybe try a hard reboot on the Ranger? Haven??t used Surveypro in a while but it seems like occasionally he would do some strange stuff, especially with dynamic points involved. Anything screwy with the raw data and coordinates could get wonky. Good luck
Then it looks like it's not Carlson, but the export.
Try exporting the jxl or dc files, and import each into the Carlson raw data editor.?ÿ
