Probably the dumbest question ever but here it is 🙂

I am using 3d 2018 and I have my layout tab scaled to 1=40'.?ÿ I want to label some dimensions that print 1" on paper.?ÿ If I use a text size of .08 it is really small.?ÿ In my old software if I set a text height to .08 in model space it would print 1" at whatever scale my layout was set to.?ÿ What is the correlation between model text size and layout text size??ÿ How do i make text print 1", LMAO at myself for this question ??ÿ

Thanks for all the help!

Charlie

When setting up your label styles or annotative dimension styles what you set the paper text height to be will be what it plots.?ÿ It just takes that number and scales it to whatever your current model or paperspace viewport scale is set to.

Use annotative text within your text style. The scale will be adjusted based on your model space scale and your layout space scale, separately.
