@kris-morgan Glad to see this thread is still active.?ÿ I have the files I ran on my old computer, just the lite version (under 10000 points) and it ran fine.?ÿ New employer and new computer and the files don't run on this computer (running Windows 10 64bit).?ÿ I don't care about anything but using it for boundary calcs.?ÿ The program will run up until I select a project and it crashes and gives me an error message.?ÿ Would your attachments you sent above have anything to help with this situation?
Just to relieve anyone's guilt about bypassing the dongle.
My recollection is that when PacSoft was sold to another company, it was sold to give the buyer some underlying technology/programming. The new company was not planning to sell or support the PacSoft programs so (I believe that the owner/developer's name was Karen) Karen sent current owners code to bypass the dongle so that customers could continue to use the software far into the future.
I don't think she wanted all of her and her team's hard work to disappear - many of us were dependent on Pacsoft's robust programming. As you see by the comments here - it's still hard to beat in some ways.
