I need help converting a .survey file into something I can edit in Carlson. There may be an easy way; but, if there is, I haven't found it.
Exporting from the DC isn't an option. Just using the coordinates from the txt or cr5 files is not an option.
If you can help me, please send an email to phipps (underscore) larry (at) yahoo.com
Thanks much.

where does .survey come from?
Apparently it is one of the files output by what used to be TDS ... now SurveyPro I think.

It Is A Spectra Precision Survey File
I opened it in WordPad and saw the "Spectra Precision Survey File" everything after that was unreadable. So I called Carlson.
I have an older version of Carlson and am restricted to importing a TDS raw file.
In newer versions you want to find the
"Edit-Process Raw Data" command.
Select Import Spectra Precision, per Carlson.

Thank you everyone for the offers of help. Turns out the file I had wasn't a complete file. Had to wait until the DC got back from the field. At that point I got the owner to create the file I needed.

We have Carlson Survey 2014, and that options isn't there..... 🙁
Supposed To Be Under The "Survey" Pulldown
In 2004 it is under the "Tools" pulldown but .rw5 is the only option.
