I use Carlson Survey with Intellicad and I like it. It works well for all my needs. Why the move from Microsurvey?

I have owned MicroSurvey since around 200 but I have not been very happy with the company since they were bought out. I am thinking that Carlson may be the right move as they appear to be the type of company MicroSurvey was prior to be sold.

Put out an RFI to Carlson and get a technical demo! Surely you could form a committee to review new contracts for CAD software... 😉

The only con is perhaps the Intellicad but after using it now for 4 years it seems faster than any of AutoCAD's latest offerings and I am well used to it. I was up and running with Carlson Survey in a week or so and I am constantly discovering new features. I should really print the manual and have a good look through it.

Before you go to the trouble of printing out the Carlson Manual, get copies of Jennifer DeBona's books. They cover what you need to get up and running and are a heck of a lot easier to understand and follow. Plus they come with practice data on USB sticks.Rich Ellis at cadapult. com also has a good general manual.
