We recently purchased Topcon Hiper V with the FC-5000 and FC-500 using the Magnet software. We have found you need to export your points and raw data file several times a day. The controllers seem to lock up a lot and the reboot will lose some but not all of your work. Also even if you exit the magnet program and shut down the controller we are losing points in the file.
Is this an isolated incident or are others having the same issue? Any suggestions?
You need to get in touch with Lee Green. He is a Topcon guru.

through RPLS or does he work for Topcon?
He is a regular here. He offers support for Topcon, but owns his own business.
I have the same setup. Lee helps out when I have questions. I can say that I've had it lock up 4 times in the 4 days that one had it. I haven't lost any points though.

There was one version of Magnet Field that had this problem.
What Magnet Field version are using?
Also what is the OS version on the FC500?
