This is what I get for wading into the deep end of CAD. Now, since yesterday after I modified (messed with / messed up) the ltypeshp.shx file in my C:USERSBRADAppdataRoamingAutodeskAutodesk Land Development Desktop 2007R17.0enuSupport folder, every time I try to open AutoCAD it goes to that folder and prompts me to select that ltypeshp.shx file, but it won't let me open it, I just have to cancel out of that screen (none of which I had to do before). Here are some screen shots:
Per my friend Thadd this worked:
oh no.
copy the SHX file to somewhere else. right click on the file in your support folder, restore previous versions, see if there is something available from before yesterday.
from there, are you loading the linetype at startup?
If this fixes it, we can rename the SHX and go from there.
Now if I can only find that confounded Tip Jar, I will be making a donation to the cause here...
Sorry to help in breaking it. I am glad I could help unbreak it. I hope you enjoy the linetype.
Here is a link with 2 files. One is a LIN file with the 6 linetypes with TICs. It points to a SHX that is uniquely named. This is a slightly hackish method to reach the goal, but it should work.
Thanks, I put $100 in the tip jar ( https://surveyorconnect.com/account/upgrades ) in honor of EVERYBODY that helped me with this one.
Great value.
I told you that using the measure command was a better way. NEENER, NEENER, NEENER, !! 😛
