I have had to do a new install of LGO 8.4 and can not seem to get the Geoid model created, I have downloaded the .exe file and bin file for my area and have gone to the geoid folder in the tree under coordinate management and tried to add a new geoid but it will not add. I have been using this software since the old SkiPro 3.0 days and have to do this so infrequent that I always have a hard time. I think Mark helped me last time or maybe Shelby. Does anyone know what I may be missing? I can call Monday, as I have a CCP on the software, but was trying to get it fixed this weekend so that I can get out working Monday AM.

Thanks,
Ed

I do not have lgo here at home, but seem to remember needing to convert the geoid to a .gem for lgo. you might want to look into that

I recall loading datums and geoids from a zip file called America's wizard supplied by Leica Support..
Don't remember re: 12B. I do know 12B deals with a specific geographic area and don't know if this included

The 'GEM' file is a subset of the geoid utilized by Smartworks, Viva and Captivate. You need the geoid 'EXE' files from Leica, I do not think the NGS versions will work. Theses are available on Leica's Myworld under LGO Tools. Geoids are created in LGO in the 'Coordinate Systems Management' tool. Select Geoids and right click and hit 'New'. From there it is pretty self explanatory.

Bsurveyor33 is correct, Geiod2012B differs from Geoid12A only in Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands.
