Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum... I was doing research online about about my Leica 1103 and Carlson RT3 data collector. I keep seeing post in this forum about people using Parani with there older Totalstations. So i figured I would join the forum and ask for input from the Pros. I currently have been talking with Carlson about this, but have yet to have much resolve yet. Seems you guys are a wealth of knowledge on this matter because many of you are running similar setups with good results. My gun is a Leica 1103TCRA, Data Collector is a Carlson RT3 Tablet. I'm using a serial Parani LR Bluetooth set a 19200 baud rate at the gun and using the RT3 LR Bluetooth and have the same baud rate. Now the problem I'm having is it doesn't show "Real Time data" in tracking mode. I have to hit read and it take a shot for it to give results. While in tracking it is taking shots, the man has the pole without a line, but it doesn't give me any data. It's locked to the prism the entire time and follows me, but the info. at the bottom of the screen doesn't change. The AR: info changes, the ZA :info changes, and HD: info will change. It just will not change the stakeout angle and distance from the gun. (The I/O L/R info) The triangle doesn't move much either, just slightly. I'm at a lost. I have not officially payed for the RT3 I'm just demoing it. Should I try a Surveyor 2 instead? Seem most of the research I have saw, people are using the windows mobile software with SurvCE instead of Tablet with SurvePC. I figured if I was going to get a data collector I would get the latest one, but as of now I'm just rethinking it. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
