Is anybody exporting a LandXML file with raw observations, point descriptions, point attributes from a data collector or third party software and importing into a Civil 3D survey database?

I've used LandXML to import export surfaces, linework, and points from a drawing to a drawing. I've never used LandXML from data collection to the CAD environment. I'm using Leica CS15 data collectors.

From the information at the links below it appears that one could get raw observations and attribute data into civil 3D using LandXML.

FBK files do not support attributes. ASC files do not include raw data. Just exploring data management options and I have not found any documentation on the potential for using LandXML this way... yet.

Any advice or experience working with LandXML this way would be great. I plan on experimenting with this next week, but thought I'd tap the knowledge base here first.
