Okay ... after almost 25 years of using TerraModel, I'm trying to learn how to use another cad program that will work on a laptop ... the program I'm trying is Intellicad 200, which is a pretty nice program.
I might want to give TurboCad a try, although I've N-E-V-E-R, bought a TurboCad program that would run without either crashing during the install or after install(3 times).
Right now, I'm in the process of finally finishing a drawing in Intellicad2001, but I'm having a terrible time getting the "thick", lines, that display in the drawing, to actually print on my pdf print.
The helps in Intellicad don't seem to actually cover anything about how to make thick lines to print.
Any ideas?
Are they showing on the screen, but not on the plot?
Are you using polylines? If so right click and edit the width to something thicker.
Or, my favorite is to just set my boundary to a red color, and then in the plot manager set red to plot at .03.
Not all of the thicknesses show the same on the screen.
I changed the polylines to 1(each/every of the multi-segment) and the boundary lines to 1.
Some line show up about twice as thick as others.
In print settings, I set the pdf print to black only, and further set the color yellow to black, then changed all the drawing lines to yellow.
No difference on the now-yellow(they're all thin), even as set to 1.0 width lines, but everything ELSE that was yellow(blocks), is superthick and some of the "donuts, which are white are huge and thick.
Can't compare Intellicad to 25 years of Terramodel ... that's for sure.
I believe that Intellicad is like AutoCAD in that your line widths can be controlled by layer or by color. Unfortunately that's a choice that has to be made when the drawing is first set up. Under your plot screen you should have an area where you can specify a Plot style table or pen assignments. If it is using a .stb extension then your line widths can be set by layer. A .ctb extension will mean that it is using color dependent line widths.
Hopefully cptdent or someone more versed in Intellicad will chime in soon.

Whose version of IntelliCAD 2001 are you using? You might check their web-site or tech support group for assistance and/or possible updates. If you're truly using IntelliCAD 2001, there have been nearly 14 years worth of improvements to the engine since that release. I saw mention of this item released with IntelliCAD 5 (circa October, 2004) as excerpted from IntelliCAD 8 ReadMe:
>Apply lineweights - The width of entities in your drawing can be controlled with the new lineweight feature. You can assign lineweights to entities and layers, and you can also specify whether they display or print.
