New thing: Have 17 x 22 portrait drawing. Printer sees 22" paper roll as 21.97" wide (I measured it and as far as I can tell, it's 22" wide). Won't rotate and plot 22" axis of dwg parallel with roll, instead leaves 5" waste strip. Have to make custom document size, 21.96 x 17, then it will auto-rotate my drawing and print correctly. Oh, and mylar - another nightmare. Wasted 2.5 D size sheets before I finally got a useable copy. This thing sucks SOOO bad....
I'd give 25 pairs of SWMBO's shoes to have my old DJ500 back & running....................................

My T120-24 reminds me of a nursery rhyme called The Girl With A Curl:
There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead;
When she was good, she was very, very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid.
Most of the time it works flawlessly and does great printing. This last week I was on the phone to HP customer service. I had a PDF drawing from an engineering firm I've been in contact with for over a year. There have been no problems until I had a file that refused to print from Windows 10 Bluebeam. After trying to load it for a couple of minutes it would just drop the whole thing as if it had never happened. I transferred the file to my Mac and Preview was happy to print it. The agent I spoke with was very patient making sure I had everything up to date and all the settings correct. It just wouldn't print the file. If I understood correctly the T120-24 doesn't have the ability to print every possible PDF file. That's acceptable to me because when I bought it last year there was a very short window where it was sold for $699!!! For a home office it's perfect, considerably less expensive then the next step up and fits in the space I have. Also for some reason my Windows 10 Work Station occasionally looses track of the IP address and needs to be finessed into printing; usually when I'm trying to get out the door in a hurry.
I hate to waste media/paper and I only use plain paper. It is sitting on a desk and until recently the paper drop post printing was not always enough to get the paper away from the cutter and it would jam. I wish I had room for the HP printer stand but it's a very small space.
Years ago when it was practically end of line for pen plotters and a decent wide printer that would plat 22in wide started at around $700 and had to be used on a regular basis and never turned off or the print head would clog, I stopped plotting anything wider.
When that printer quit, I went with Brother all in ones that will print ledger.
Anything that is larger than ledger gets sent out to the printshop and that is 40mi away.
At least I can take that trip serious and shop for those other things on my list that are not available locally.
When I am sent something that I need to print and it is larger than I can do inoffice, I usually print it to fit on ledger or tile it into segments to print out the puzzle pieces.
