i recently had a FC-500 go down. i had to send it in for repair. i had another shipped to me.
in my haste to get back up and running, i neglected to set the prism offset in settings.
i now have a days worth of work with zero offset, which should be at -30. all my shots are .09 to long.
i don't own magnet office tools, so all my files i convert on the fc-500 using the magnet convert and usb them to my computer.
does anyone know a simple way to remedy this situation.
You can probably edit the prism offset in the raw data on the DC and let the software calculate updated coordinates for all of the points. Make sure you're working on a copy of your file rather than the original so if things go sideways you've still got options.
What software do you process your raw data with? Most can apply a prism constant to the raw data. I can do it with InRoads Survey. Like you said Magnet Office can also do this. Ask your Topcon dealer for 30 day license.
