Esri ArcGIS 9: can it export kml?

We have ArcGIS 9 (not installed).

Can anyone tell me if it will export layers, shapes etc to kml?

I do not believe it has that ability built in.

I'd be happy to send you a free extension I downloaded a few years ago that will do what you want in Arcmap 9.x

Version 9 only has that ability if you have the 3D Analyst extension installed. Version 10 now has the "convert layer to KML" and "convert map to KML" tools.
I am sure there are free extensions out there that will run on version 9.
