Hello to the folks outstanding in their fields,

I am working with Carlson survCE V 4.07. I have been trying to draw a circle by using the DRAW / Circle in the map screen. I pick the point and the little command line says Circle -Rad /
I have tried many ways to then input my radius distance but to no avail. I can click on any other point and BLAM the circle appears based on the distance between the 2 points but I just can't get it to accept a radius and draw the damn circle.
Thank you anyone who can make me feel foolish by telling me the way to get this done. This is good software but it can be cumbersome in some functional use.

I feel your pain. When you see -Rad/

type R at the cursor and Enter, you should then be able to enter the radius at the cursor

It took me 4ever to learn that when you see the / there're options that may require alpha input before you can make numeric input, i.e. telling it you want to input the radius (R, Enter) and not define the circle with 2 pts.

HAHAHAHA! You know I thought I had done that but after so many attempts the right answer disappears sometimes doesn't it ?
Thanks so much for your prompt AND correct answer Sarge !!
Enjoy the life,

I wish carlson had stronger arc-curve functionality in the map screen. Like being able to draw a tangent or non tangent arc from points or bearings. Like you can within carlson desktop software.
