I'm trying to create a surface in Carlson and it's doing some funny things:
Ignoring points
Ignoring Breaklines
Creating points with odd elavations
No rhyme or reason.
This isn't the first surface I've ever created with Carlson, but it is the first one I've created using 2012, am I missing something?
TIA for all of your help on a weekend!

The odd points it creates, if I'm not mistaken, are interpolated high and low points. To prevent ignored breaklines, under your surface menu, TAG HARD BREAKLINES.
Thanks for the response.
I think I may have it figured out...
I had the box checked for simplify surface and the default was elevation method. The other box to check was preserve breaklines. I didn't think it would ignore them.....
I unchecked this box and it worked a lot better.
It didn't actually create odd points, it created a tin line that had an elevation of 80', where the elevation was between 82'-89'. It was in the NE corner of the surface and I had to delete the line and add the point in the corner to make it work.
It looks like all is well now.....
Dougie...
The WORST feature that Carlson put in their software is that dang "Simplfy Surface" JUNK!! Obvciously written by someone with NO IDEA how to contour. I have complained often to Carlson, but they claim that some people love the feature. Sure!! Like people that have NO IDEA what they are doing or people that "streatch" contours!! :-X :-@ 😛
