Hi Guys,:-)
We are running the Carlson software package called SurveCE version 2.55. on the DC surveyor++
When we use the onboard template editor to make changes to the grades and then press "save changes" the next time we open the same file, the file is empty. In other words the the new grades we just entered are missing!!!
What gives here??
Why are the new grades not being saved?
Has anyone else had this problem? or is it just a software bug?
please let us know
Cheers
Bud

I can't help with your problem, but call their customer service. In my experience, they have been VERY helpful. Also, there really isn't a wait time.
There might be. The website says they are having phone line problems at the main office. They list a phone number for the Boston office though that seems to be working. Go to their website and get the contact info on what is working off the opening page.
Hi,
Thanks for the info. Yes. We did contact carlson and they supplied us with a link to download their latest version of the software. However, after downloading the latest version we still come up with the same problem. Is there something else we are missing? perhaps the readers here know??

Hi Bud,
I could replicate the problem with your template but not with a newly created template using what I think is/was the same geometry:
*SURFACEL

MOVESL,15.00000,-0.30000,LR

I re-keyed your template slopes and distances and saved the TPL to a different file name and compared the files. Items shown in bold red above were found in my TPL and were missing from your template. If you put the contents of the info above into your file, can you replicate the behavior? If not, I'd attribute the problem to a malformed TPL file. In any event, I've relayed the nature of the problem into programming.
