Evidently the folks at Carlson just love their shortcut menu. I don't. It is the default setting for the right click option. I would rather have right click repeat the last command. I set it that way under "Options" and all is fine until I do something else in Carlson. Then the stupid program resets the ding-dang shortcut menu. Is there a way to make it save the Options setting?
Open your normal template. Set it there. Save as a dwt. Should fix all problems.
If not, call (606) 564-5028 and ask for tech support.
Enter Repeats The Last Commnd
So why worry about the right click?

Enter Repeats The Last Commnd
Because it speeds you up tremendously. Do a move or copy. Need to do it again? Right click to repeat. Much faster than a pull down or key board entry and time is money.
Tried that. No joy. I'll get with my guru at Carlson DS. Easier to get hold of than Carlson support.
Doesn't the space bar repeat the last command? Not hard to miss the space bar.
That it does, but the whole purpose of right button customuzation is to have all of this done on the mouse and with that one hand. It's an option that is built in, but that Carlson is overriding for some reason. All of the "custom" settings are useless if the software is going to reset them. Why even offer the option if you will not let it work?
The primary reason for the short-cut menu is that is the default settings as offered by AutoCAD.
To set the Right+Click menu functionality, try either of the following:
Setting through "Carlson"
- From the Settings menu, click Mouse Click Settings
- Click on the desired Right Click settings. "With all these menus off, the right button will be used like Enter on the keyboard."
- Click OK
- or -
Setting through "AutoCAD"
- From the Settings menu, click AutoCAD Options
- Click on the User Preferences tab
- Click on the Right-click Customization button and establish your desired settings
- Apply & Close
Note: These settings get stored in the computer Registry under the current CAD Profile and should be persistent from session to session.
If either of these two options don't provide you with the desired functionality, contact Carlson Technical Support so we can further diagnose the desired functionality.
Thank you sir!! I believe that did the trick.
The setting through Carlson works and did the trick.
FYI the AutoCad setrtings under "Options"/ "Right click settings" get reset each time you open the drawing and default back to the shortcut menu.
