Been using Carlson Survey since 2004, and it's the first time I've seen this.?ÿ I'm in a dwg that I'd created from scratch, and everything was fine after the first day of fieldwork.?ÿ I was able to move the point text, both with single and leader.
Now the second day of fieldwork, brought the new points in, and now I can't move anything but the point number.?ÿ When I try with leader, just the number moves.?ÿ When I try single, grab the text, it moves, but then I get an error:?ÿ Error encountered applying transform.?ÿ
Never saw that before, and don't know why it's happening.?ÿ Anyone know?
I even tried blocking this out into a new dwg, and that created another set of issues that I won't get into now.
Check if one of the point element layers is locked. Happens to me when in the layer command pull down because of fat fingers. Ran into it a few days ago when I could not edit point descriptions. Still using 2004, even though I have newer versions. It helps with my drawing interchanges. Been using Carlson since SurvCAD 10.

That's it.?ÿ Thought I checked.?ÿ Don't know how that happened.?ÿ I've never locked a layer in my life.
Thank you
?ÿ
Funny thing is those descriptions are stuck in place now.?ÿ I re-ran my raw, new points came in, that I can move attributes.?ÿ But the old descriptions are stuck there, attached to where they are.?ÿ Weird.
When a point is brought in to say layer PNTS-FIELD, the various attributes are on PNTDESC, PNTELEV, PNTNO and are affected by how both layers are set. Then again the attributes may also be on differently named layers, such as PNT01DESC. etc.
Do "Isolate Layer" on one of the offending points, say yes to pnt layers on and see where they are.
