Does anyone else use this setup.? If so how are you bringing all the line work created in Carlson into the collector with Survey Pro?
We have Carlson civil suite 2016 and Survey Pro 5.7.2.

I use Carlson Survey with IntelliCAD 2015 with Survey Pro 4.8.1

I export the points from Carlson as a CR5 file and the line work as a DXF.

I import the field work into Carlson using the Survey Pro RAW file.

Ok that's how we do it I was just trying to figure out how to get the line work into the file vs using a dxf reference without going through foresight.

I do not use foresight.

I download the DXF to the data collector and import it using the Maps - Manage Basemaps - Add - select AutoCAD DXF Files

Hope this helps

I currently use the basemap function but sometimes have some issues with how the dxf curves are drawn. The line work is a lot easier to use and comes in a lot crisper from a .job file.

Can you tell me where this command is? I have Survey Pro 5.2.1, and I don't see it. We do this a lot with our Leica DC's, using Viva GPS, and would like to have the option when using our total stations - using Survey Pro, and Carlson SurvCE.

Thanks

Thanks

John,

In the upper right corner of the home screen is the icon to get you to map view, Then the bottom icon on the left in map view will take you to "Manage Base Maps" screen. Select "Add" . In the upper right change the file type in the drop down box to "AutoCAD DXF files (*.dxf)". Select your dxf and follow the prompts.

I'm using Survey Pro version 4.8.1 on a Spectra Precision Ranger, so your button placement may be slightly different.

Let me know how you make out.
