As you can see in the title, I'm working with Carlson/Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D 2015, and I have a question in regards to the hatch command.
In the past working with the program I've been able to type in "hatch" "bhatch" "_bhatch" and the window pops up with my options. We ran into a technical glitch (that was an inner-office glitch, not AutoCAD's), and since it was fixed, my pop up window no longer automatically pops up.
I've been searching for how to make it automatically pop up as soon as I type in the command, but I'm not finding that option.
And the good news is that the options for "[ . . . seTtings]" is available and I CAN get the window to pop up. I would just prefer that it pop up automatically.
Does anyone know where I can begin looking for something like that?
Try the commands filedia and cmddia are set to one.
Thank you! You got me headed in the right direction!!
I'll read the Help manual for things I don't know, and for this one I followed the link "About Switching Between Dialog Boxes and the Command Line" when I clicked on the help button for FILEDIA.
After following this link: In the bullet list I found this: "HPDLGMODE controls the display of the Hatch and Gradient dialog box and the Hatch Edit dialog box."
Once I typed "HPDLGMODE" in the command line it was automatically set to , I changed it to "1" on a hunch and IT WORKED!!!! 😀 I got my hatch dialog box back!!!! 😀 (It's been bugging me for about a month now, and I'm finally getting around to fixing it.)
Now I know, and I'm happy to share the results. 🙂
Glad you shared. I now have my beloved hatch dialogue box back, too. 😀
Today is turning out to be a good day!! I got a "2Fer"!! I am using Carlson Survey 2015 Embedded and had the same problem with the bhatch command. Now it is all fixed!!
Other problem was the Properties window. I typed "Properties" or clicked on the menu button and nothing appeared to happen. Turns out that the AutoHide setting was working too food. I noticed the left margin looked "thick" after clicking on properties. Hardly noticeable at all, but Lon at Carlson had suggested I look real close. Sure enough, put my arrow as far left as it would go, held down the left mouse button and pulled. There it is!! I did this in the dwt file and got it all set so that all of my drawings are set correctly as I create them.
