I am a new Carlson user...drafted with civil3d for 11 years.?ÿ
civil 3D had a command called lengthen. It would allow me to lengthen an arc I made at a specific radius a specific length. So for example I could draw an arc with a radius of 260 at a random distance then type lengthen put my desired arc length in and pick the line. Bam done.?ÿ
is there a similar command in Carlson?
LENGTHEN ?? This command and its options allow you to change the length of an object using a variety of
methods:
? Total ?? Lengthens or shortens the entity to be the specified length. The command will lengthen or
shorten the end you pick closest to.
? Delta ?? Lengthens an entity by the specified distance if a positive value is entered or shortens the
entity if a negative value is entered. The command will lengthen or shorten the end you pick closest
to.
? Dynamic ?? Allows you to select the end of an object and drag to lengthen or shorten the entity.

"Total" sounds like what you want.?ÿ Unless I'm misunderstanding your question...........which I likely am.
To test this I drew a random arc, used LENGTHEN, Total, and specified a length of 400.?ÿ It set the arc length to that (it was originally 200 and change).?ÿ I'm running Carlson Survey 2021 w/ IntelliCAD 10.0 for reference.
"EDIT" pulldown
"EXTEND"
To edge, to intersection, by distance
The "Extend" command on the sidebar does not give the choice of all three.

Under the draw pull down menu, select Arc.?ÿ Under Arc are about 25 ways to draw an arc. One of the options is Extend which gives you the option to extend an existing arc.?ÿ
The LENGTHEN command is a standard AutoCad function, not specifically C3d. Therefore it should be available in OEM Carlson ?ÿand probably in the Intellicad version as well.
