Several times a year we survey the local utility's ash pond (the dredger gets paid based on my volume from previous time), when I try to migrate these from Land Desktop to C3D-2010, the program takes "the dirt nap" on me if I try to migrate (import/ Land Desktop) more than two surfaces at once, has anyone else run into this or is it just me.
In C3D-2009 I find it easier to
SURFACE - CREATE SURFACE FROM TIN
and select the LDD *.tin surface from LDDDTM
Hope this helps,
DDSM
Thanks Dan, that method works fine for single surfaces, I'm looking to bring over 40-50 of them, as well as their related alignments and volumes.
Have you tried LandXML export/import?
Yes, sinc, took an hour and a half, then, bit "the dirt sandwich" again, 2010 is supposed to import the data straight from the project without the need to export a .xml, just wondering if anyone was successfull with this many surfaces.
