I am using trueview converter but the spot elevations are disappearing from the drawing when I try to explode them. If anyone could help with the explosion of the spot elevations back to text, I would be deeply appreciative.

Thad,
I see this a lot. The spots are NOT text, they are tags with attributes. I use Microstation to drop the tags to text and keep the file format as DWG.
Feel free to email me the file and I'll drop the them for you.
