We know you like your job, but there comes a time in every day when you need to head back to the garage. Like right around sunset. Street View images taken after dark don't really do anyone any good (and they make some of us mad).

Wow, I've never seen that. Never even seen them at dusk.

Although I do not have any recommendations for your problem,
I know some other things that are useful.

Google Express Pro About $400 per year for the license. It includes
aerial photography that is being constantly renewed
at no additional cost. Reads many file formats out
on the market. It has many equivalents in the pull-down
menus to ArcInfo.

Earth Point Software which includes many of the things a surveyor
will need that GIS packages do not have.
If you dump your Carlson or Civil Cad coordinates and
descriptions to an Excel format, you can read them in
directly to Google Express Pro.

Disadvantage Each time you buy a Google product, six dozen more idiots
from Google telemarketing call and bother you. After they
get your money, they call your competitor to let them know
that you are higher up on the search hit list. The competitor
goes up on the hit list and later that call to let you know you
are lower on the hit list. You pay more for your Google Ad Words.

It is similar to going to your surveyor association convention
and all of your competitors show up.
