So I am trying to use the Ashtech GNSS 3.60 software to process my Trimble Survey data. I surveyed with two base stations and one kinematic/stop and go rover unit. I converted the Trimble files to Rinex under TGO. I checked them under TGO and they looked okay (all the points were in). I downloaded into Ashtech GNSS 3.60. Looks like the base stations processed okay and also the initialized starting point on my rover unit, but Ashtech is not recognizing the stop/go points.
The Stop/Go points are approximately 40 sec. observations with minimum of 8-5sec. epochs. What's going on, does anyone know? I wonder if there is a flag that needs to be set, or is set wrong? (The initialized point is a 20 min. obs.)
if you open rover RINEX file in a text editor you can see if it has roving segments followed by static segments (8-5sec). If everything is stashed as static segment this is RINEX converter problem, otherwise GNSS sulitions's.
Have nod had a chance to play with GNSS sulitions yet, just downoaded it yesterday. Lots of new users for this program over last few days.

Yeah, I changed the settings but nothing changed. I also looked at the Rinex File under text editor but it shows kinematic positions. Still pluggin away.
Really what you need is for Paul to export and post a rinex kinematic file from a known functioning project in GNSS Solutions for comparison, though he may only be using the older Ashtech Solutions. I'd also be curious if you ran the rinex file you created from TGO through teqc if it would throw any kind of error messages?

Did I Miss Something? Your RINEX Files Are L1 Only?
Only Data is L1/C1.
Receivers are 4600 L1 only?
Just so I know I have all there is?

Yes, L1 only. 4600's are Trimble's L1 Units.
Processed OK in Solutions 3.60.01
I downloaded 2 hours from BSMK, Bismark CORS, used that as a control point, processed and adjusted. Then I fixed point 200 and removed BSMK. Reprocessed and adjusted. Settings were 0.5 minutes and all seemed OK.
The stop and go precision started at less than 0.1 meter at point 301 and progressed to 0.2 meter at 1305, point 1306 was at 34 meter confidence.
Give some more specific questions.

Ok, let me give it a run. I think I may know what I was doing wrong.
Other Things I Did
First I did not know if your control points had fixed coordinates which is why I started from BSMK.
In processing the 3 points from BSMK I "disabled" the 3 local vectors, 100-200, 200-300, 300-100 and reprocessed, adjusted, then locked 100. Had I wanted to I could have also fixed point 200 for the final rover solution. After fixing point 100 and removing the BSMK data I "enabled" the 3 local vectors.
There are not many CORS in North Dakota, but around here I would have enough to allow Solutions to create a VRS (virtual reference station) which is Primo for L1 only receivers. I have an L2 license, but I believe Solutions creates the VRS position solving L2 without a license. I think way back when I first tried VRS I removed my L2 license and it worked, but cannot be sure. I believe I reported about it on the other boards Ashtech Forum.

I still can't get the Stop/Go to work. Yeah, I am getting the static solution but not the kinematic.
Automatically picking up the Cors stations is pretty slick. Somewhere I have to tell it that this is a stop/go survey. For some reason it is ignoring about 20 kinematic points. In TGO you just download the points pick a control point or two and voila she processes right before your eyes. This software is much more command driven and if you don't know the command you don't get the results...I think.
Other Things To Do

"Process Options"
"Mode"
"Stop & Go"
However it is processing for me as a long dynamic file, not a regular S&G. It may not like your markers.

Okay, I did that and it processed each individual 5 second epoch under the Point No. 300 but it still doesn't recognize the individual numbers. So I had a gigantic file. Also how do you manage to delete the ngs point bsmk after you used it to establish the coords. of no. 200?
File Tab, Start By Right Clicking On The Number To The Left
The whole line should be highlighted, hit "delete" key.
Do same with Points Tab and Control Positions Tab. All gone.

i just may have to resign myself to fast static surveying which may not be so bad. I'll probably go out tomorrow and redo a fast static survey and see if that works. Fingers crossed.
Other than that the software ain't too bad. It has some nice features. Thanks again for the assistance.
16 * 5 Second Epochs
Keep it over a minute the Solutions software defult. The above gives a 1:15 observation. Also do a long session at the end. As I understand it the software can work backwards or forwards from initialization points.
Give your points a 4 digit or numeric name.
