I hate when a program or app gets updated and the latest features screw up my workflow.

Case in point, until the latest update to the android version of Dropbox I could tap a pdf file and it would automatically open in Adobe Reader. When I finished marking up the pdf, closing it would update the file in the Dropbox folder.

The new version opens pdf files in a viewer, forcing me to open a menu to select "open with" to get the file into Adobe. Once I finish in Adobe, it saves the updated version in Adobe's default directory because Dropbox still has the original open in the viewer. I can of course get Adobe to save the file back to Dropbox with a new filename but it involves several steps.

What I used to be able to do with a minimum of steps now takes at least double the effort and results in multiple file versions to keep up with. I think I'll drop a comment int the suggestion box to make this "feature" optional. Ain't progress grand? 🙁

Same applies to data collection/field computing software. For small jobs with no elevations required, I still grab my Recon with SMI. Field calc's are SO much faster with it than my other windows DC which as a very popular data collection program on it.

Sorry for being off thread but the quoted line just jumped out at me and I couldn't resist commenting!!
